| Abbeydale Observatory, was set up in July, 1999. My prime purpose is the imaging of Asteroids and Comets. To this end, I use a Starlight Xpress SXVF 7 CCD Camera, attached to a Meade LX200 0.3 metre telescope. Prior to this I used the same camera, on a Meade LX90 0.2 metre telescope . My secondary purpose is to promote the search for and monitoring of Near Earth Objects (NEOS). Whilst it is very unlikly that I shall ever find any with the equipment I have, I can at least monitor the known asteroids and comets, and detect changes in orbits. I hope you will support the work being done by the experts and us amateurs. Your comments would be appreciated. Alan Cahill , Abbeydale Observatory, Gloucester. U.K. |
